Thank you for taking a few moments to find my campaign website and learn about my background and qualifications.

I was honored early this year to have been selected by Governor Inslee to fill a vacant seat on the King County Superior Court bench.  Because our state law requires that newly appointed judges stand for election to retain their seats, I put together this website so that voters like you can learn about me before casting a vote in November.  You can read about my personal and professional history on the next page of this site, and I hope to be able to get around the county and meet as many of you as I can over the next few months.

Voters generally know very little about the judges they see on their ballots, and it’s often hard to know how to make smart decisions.  A good balance of broad legal experience, a respectful attitude toward everyone, and humility are essential qualities for a judge.  But many think a great judge also has the courage of their convictions to do the right thing under the rule of law, even when it may not be the most popular position of the day.  An independent judiciary plays a vital role in our democratic system. Now, more than ever, we should all value our independent judiciary, and I am honored to be a part of it.
